The apron I sent out ....

Here is the apron I made for my partner for the Sassy Apron Swap. She said she wanted orange thrown in, so I made one side in the brightest orange I could find. I used the Emmaline Apron by Montessori by Hand. I hope she likes it!

One down, one to go .....

Me thinks I have an uncanny ability to find ugly sock yarn. So here is one sock finally done. This is the Running Lace Sock from Sensational Knitted Socks. It is NOT an easy pattern to remember, therefore taking me longer to finish. It's also way too busy of a pattern for this busy yarn - by the way, I am LOVING Cherry Tree Hill yarn.

Happy President's Day!

Here is a "Bio Bottle" that Matt made for a class project. It was supposed to be turned in last week, but every single one of my kids had the FLU, so no school for them last week. They can't wait to go back tomorrow.

For my Valentine .....

They're right, you do rock!!! I love you, D! And YES, thank you for the coke, for letting me get my hair cut today, for helping me take care of sick kids, attempting to make chicken n dumplings as good as my moms, for Season 2 of the greatest show eva, and for pretty much putting up with my craziness.

For my kids .... I made the sick little boogers heart shaped biscuits topped with honey and butter. Yes, they look ugly .... but they tasted soooo good!

Red's got style

I was telling a friend how my daughter walks around dressed crazy everyday. Her usual attire is a skirt, bikini top, and tights on her head. I haven't taken a picture of that outfit - however, I just snapped a pic of her sleeping. Today she's wearing a leotard with skirt (you can't see that in the pic), and of coarse no outfit would be complete without a pair of tights on her head.

New Skirts

My Mom made these skirts for the girls. They are sooo cute. Red actually has a matching Valentine's skirt, but she chose to wear to pink camo today. Don't the shirts match perfectly? I got them at Target for $4.99 - and that's all the money I put into these whole outfits. Shoes, tights, and skirts given as gifts. Cute girls and shirts provided by me.

LOST

So it was a holiday yesterday at our house .... the premier of LOST! I really wanted to start a beret for little bit, but who can knit when my show is on? If anyone watches it, what'd you think? Are you siding with Locke or Jack? Didn't guy in rocker (could be Jacob) look like Jack's Dad? He had on a suit. And who are the Oceanic 6? Well, I just couldn't wait and googled it. Of course, the site I found could be wrong, but I don't think so. Who was in the casket? Could it be Ben, Michael, nobody whomsoever from the island and their just messing with us????? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, can't wait till next Thursday.

Preemie Hat

Another hat for my charity knitting group. This yarn - Dark Horse Yarn - is so soft you just want to rub your face in it. I'm going to make another hat in adult size for a cancer center. This pattern is great because it's ribbed so it's very stretchy to fit various sized heads. I got the pattern from here.

Preemie Hat

I'm in a great group on Ravelry for charity knitting. Every month, we send baby hats to a "host" and then the host will give all the hats to a charity of their choice. This month, all the hats will be going to Stitches From the Heart.. I made 2 hats yesterday and got them in the mail today. Here's one of them.

Here's a gift for a friend that had her fourth baby on Tuesday. The hat is the ribbons hat from Itty Bitty Hats. The booties are Saartje's Bootees and the cutest I've ever seen, I just want to eat them up.
