Pincushion

I made this very easy pincushion today with an old cup, polyfil, square of fabric, and hot glue. Oh, and itty bitty ric rac around the bottom. It will be on its way to its new home tomorrow in New Mexico, as part of a package for an apron swap. The theme - tea party.

I'll let you see the apron in a few days after my partner has received it. I'll just go ahead and tell you that I did not stick to the tea party theme for the apron.

Ornaments!

The kids are out of school today for Columbus Day so we decided to do something crafty. We made these snazzy beaded ornaments. Mine is the pink one in the background, Nate's is the colorful one, and Matt's is the green one. Here is John's ....

Not quite a star but he was proud nonetheless. I think he was purposefully making a "Y" for yippee - Christmas time!

Happy President's Day!

Here is a "Bio Bottle" that Matt made for a class project. It was supposed to be turned in last week, but every single one of my kids had the FLU, so no school for them last week. They can't wait to go back tomorrow.
