We just got back from vacation at the beach.  I won't bore you with the usual beach shots (mainly because I didn't take many pics!), but I had to share this one.  This is the worst picture I've ever seen of Derek and me; but I wanted to point out the fish's fin above us.  As we were being seated, the busboy was worried Derek would cut himself on the fin; so he came and wrapped it up with a napkin and masking tape!

I am soooo glad for the safety precautions the folks at The Fish House take for their patrons!

Bob Barker Would Be Upset

Um .... so I forgot to get Tippy fixed.    About two weeks ago, Charlie came in and said Tippy's belly was getting big and she had bumps on it.  Derek and I just looked at each other with a sigh.  She ended up having four puppies this past Friday night.

Isn't this one cute?  We need a brown dog, so I think we just HAVE to keep this one.

One of the pups ended up dying, so we only have three left now.  My Mom and Dad keep asking me what their sexes are.  I finally looked tonight and since I'm not very educated when it comes to dogs, I'm not sure.  It does look like they have a weenis, though, so I think they are boys.

The kids are hoping to sell these beauties for $50 each.  I'm hoping we can give them away without having to pay someone $50 to take them!

I will admit to you that I have never been a big fan of hydrangeas.  However, I think these are the most stunning flowers that my little ones have EVER picked for me.  My mind has been changed.

Memorial Day Fun

Can you believe that in all of my life living in the Atlanta area, that I've never climbed Stone Mountain.  We decided to go Monday and see the special Memorial Day Laser Show and hike the mountain while we waited.  It was my first, and more than likely my last time hiking it!

Here we are at the beginning when my hair was still fixed and I had makeup on.

By the end of the one mile hike, I was wishing I had taken a Bayer aspirin - I watch enough TV to know that's what you're supposed to take at the first sign of a heart attack.  Amid all of my huffing, puffing, and sweating; I looked around and saw my kids running up, my four year old and an eight months pregnant lady passing me!  Derek, always patient, cheered me on until I finally made it.

Derek and the kids at the TOP!

Here is Matt and I waiting on the Laser Show to start.  I don't know why - but this kid reminds me of Rusty from the movie Vacation.  I don't know if it's the braces or the skinny; but I do know if Chariots of Fire played as he ran and he had a mullet the look would be complete.

If anyone who reads this lives in the ATL area, I HIGHLY recommend going to see the Laser show on a holiday weekend.  The Memorial Day celebration was truly patriotic; and the fireworks were awesome!
