Yee-haw

Another apron I made yesterday. I found this cute cowgirl and horseshoe material at Hobby Lobby. It's the Chic Sisters Apron from Marie-Madeline Studio. I love it!

Cute apron

I made this apron today from a pattern out of the "A" is for Apron book. I just think each of these aprons is getting cuter and cuter. I still haven't gotten my apron from the Sassy Apron Swap, so I thought I'd make one for myself.

Finished!

I actually finished knitting this Monday, but have been putting off seaming the sides (I'm still kicking myself for not knitting this in the round). It also looks a little big, but since this is cotton yarn, I'm counting on it shrinking. I really, really love the Aruacania yarn - so soft.

How cute is this pair?

My find for this week

I got this oh - so - cute shirt at Gymboree yesterday at the mall. They were having a semi-annual sale and selling off last years stuff for cheap.

Here is a close up of the embroidery on the collar. I LOVE it!

And the best part is .... check out this price! I think I'll make a burgunday colored skirt to match it come fall.

Friends ....

We had some friends come over last night to play. The girls just love baby S. Ain't she cute????? I just had to put in the second picture because it looks like she's getting really tired of sitting in between my girls.

Update on the Monica tank .... I've got over 6 inches done on the back. Should be done in a couple of days!

I am using araucania yarn and I HEART it! It knits up sooo soft, and there is a little varience in the color of the yarn that is just beautiful. Hopefully I'll be done with the back half within the week.

Why waste money?

Isn't it sad? My kids didn't even know that you can wash your car at home. We were at my parent's last week and Mom had them help her wash her car. They couldn't believe I had never let them wash mine before! They've asked everyday since then if they could wash the van for me. One said, "Why waste your money at a car wash when we can have fun doing this for FREE!!!!!"

Father's Day

We had a good day, yesterday. First we went to my parents to spend the afternoon with my Dad. Then we went off to Derek's Dad. I thought I'd take a picture of 3 generations of 2nd born sons.

Celebrity Morph by MyHeritage

MyHeritage: Celebrity Morph - Family pictures - Genology

one more

Dorky time - sucker

As you can see, I'm having fun with a time waster website. What celebrities do I look most alike? hahahaha, I don't see it in any of them!

This time, a cuter hat ....

I made this baby hat up last night, it was a very fast little knit. I used Jelly Bean yarn and it is soooo soft. The had seemed a little boring by itself so I added a little rosette from a Louisa Hardin pattern. I think it turned out pretty cute.

An UGLY hat ....

Here is a hat I made for charity. I used a variegated yarn to make a striped hat. I think it's kind of ugly - why would I chose this yarn for a baby hat? Oh well, I'll give it anyway.

Thankfully, the hats that other generous knitters sent for the PCC are the cutest little things I've ever seen. Along with the hats, there are 2 bibs - pictured on the left, and some washcloths, pacifiers, and clippers. As you can see - my hat looks pathetic tucked under on the right hand side.

Thanks ladies for your time! I know the PCC will greatly appreciate it. I'm probably going to knit night tonight at my LYS and try to knit up a cuter, more baby appropriate hat.

Silly

I have actually done some knitting this week .... a scratchy hat. I will take pictures of it tomorrow. I tried washing it to see if it would soften up - but no, it didn't.

I also went to my Mom's all day yesterday and we sewed each girl an outfit. They are sooooo cute and can't wait for you to see them. I'll post pics of those later, too.

So for now I'll put a pic of one silly girl posing for the camera.

Dress up!

The three little ones played princesses the other night. Aren't they pretty? Especially J - it all started when I tried on a pretty crocheted dress on him when he was a baby.

And yet another apron ....

This is the apron I made for my partner for the summer swap for the Sassy Apron Swap. It was a very fun and easy pattern that I got from Marie - Madeline Studio. I think it turned out really cute and I love the apron material I found at Hobby Lobby.
